The President and the Oligarch is Greg's third book. The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: The Life and Times of Jacob Fugger, was described by Andrew Ross Sorkin as one of the best reads of 2015. The Wall Street Journal named his second book, American Rascal: How Jay Gould Built Wall Street's Biggest Fortune, a top book of 2025. Formerly the Berlin and London bureau chief of The Wall Street Journal, Greg later worked for many years at a money management firm in New York.
